One Second of Sehnsucht

in co-operation with  CAINNÉ ANGSTE

In 1997, at the age of 21, Austrian photographer Martin Stöbich captured the rawness of New York City life on a Super 8 film camera.

25 years later one distinct second has been carefully selected, dissected into its single cells, and transferred onto 24 unique garments. By removing the temporal dimension the moment captured on film reveals its emotional anatomy.

At the same time, the image remains an integral part of the sequence – regardless of its location. Each unique piece can be experienced as a spatial object, or worn as a connective fashion experience.
